Monday I travelled from Gibson’s Landing up to Sechelt to visit a bookstore and to Madeira Park on the recommendation of some of the Fibre People at the festival….
Wow – what a spot! I called up Yvonne of Fibre Works (as the gallery isn’t usually open on Monday’s) and she said she would be there and open up the gallery – wonderful! (Thanks Yvonne!).
Here is what I saw as I drove up ….

Many yurts – one for the gallery, one for workshops, one for and office, one for a studio and other smaller ones – for washrooms, etc. all beautifully laid out…

There is a great exhibit on display “Thr3fold Unfolded” – stunning work by three artists – their website is here and you can see a preview of the show on the Fibre Works site – but it really is worth the trip!!
So, when I was there, I also showed Yvonne the Community Peace Banner that was woven at Gibsons Landing (see previous post) and she suggested that we take some photos of it.

What a great location for the photos.
Happy Weaving,
Terri
