Two young weavers (now age 7) decided to create more ‘stuffies’ for Christmas. They each wove the cloth and then drew out a picture of what their animal would look like (which had to fit the size of their finished cloth). We used that to plan legs, the tail and the shape of the stuffy. They helped with the sewing and did the stuffing using yarns from the treasure bag.
Here is the cloth woven for a dog. Two different pieces of cloth were woven from two different warps and sewn together…
and the dog that was made from it – “Rover”
Rover has a moustache, long floppy ears, extra long front legs, blue eyes and a tail that wags!
Next is a cat (similar to “Sam I Am“) – this one is called “Whiskers”.
Whiskers was made from some cloth woven on a “Cherry Blossom” warp…
and has beautiful pink eyes, a dark button nose and of course golden whiskers!
Here are the three of them under the Christmas tree…
Wonderful weaving and creativity!
